Yes, regional blackouts are a mandate of the NHL and are determined based on a viewer’s physical location at the time of streaming. Depending on the location of the viewer, they will be subject to NHL regional blackouts on the Sportsnet Prime Video Channel or Sportsnet+. Blackouts are not based on billing address or whether a team is playing at home or on the road.
Sportsnet is the regional rights holder for the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs. To watch regional games for those teams, without blackouts, a viewer must reside within the local broadcast territory of the team. Sportsnet does not own the regional broadcast rights to the Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets, Ottawa Senators, or Buffalo Sabres. As a result, the only Canadiens, Jets, Senators, or Sabres games that are available on the Sportsnet Prime Video Channel are those broadcast during Monday, Wednesday, or Saturday national games.

No, you will not be able to stream Sportsnet Channels via Prime Video if you originally subscribed via sportsnetplus.ca or an app store including the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Amazon Fire TV. You can access Sportsnet+ via the Sportsnet App on your Amazon Fire TV device. The Sportsnet Prime Video Channel is a separate subscription billed directly via Prime using an Amazon account.
